On behalf of ICIFE Founding President and Exco, the Secretariat would like to put on record our appreciation and gratitude to all guests and members who attended ICIFE Forum, Official Opening and luncheon in conjunction with our 2nd AGM at Seri Pacific Hotel KL on 30th January 2016.
Our special thanks are due to YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Utama Dr. Rais Yatim, Advisor to the Government of Malaysia on Socio-Cultural Matters & Chairman, ICIFE International Advisory Board and President of International Islamic University Malaysia.
We must put on record our admiration to the two pioneering Chapters; one in Malaysia i.e. UiTM and another in the Philippines. We salute the Chapter leaders: Prof Dr. Zaini Abdullah, the Rector of UiTM Selangor & Br. Amanoding Esmail, President of Philippines Association of Islamic Accountants (PAIA).
We need to mention our 2 new overseas Institutional Members: the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) rep Br Sulaiman Lujja and the Mindanao State University (MSU) rep by Sr Soraida Esmail.
In recognition of the esteemed presence of YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Utama Dr. Rais Yatim; ICIFE presented the ‘Malaysia Islamic Finance Education Report 2015’ and two volume of ICIFE Bulletin.
The 2nd AGM unanimously approved a resolution that 3rd AGM scheduled on February 18th, 2017 to be held in Manila. Br. Amanoding Esmail, Chairman of ICIFE Philippines Chapter jointly with PAIA, National Commission of Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) and MSU in collaboration with the Office of Hon Congresswoman Sitti Djalia A. Turabin-Hataman will work-out the program and logistics details before ICIFE Secretariat could properly e-flash the logistics details to members at large.
