YB Dato’ Seri Idris Jusoh, Minister of Higher Education on behalf of Government of Malaysia has appointed an eminent scholar and former Vice Chancellor of Universiti Sains Malaysia who is the Honorary Member of ICIFE International Advisory Board, YBhg Prof Tan Sri Dato’ Dzulkifli Abdul Razak as Chairman, Board of Directors for Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) effective from 01 April 2016. Concurrently, Tan Sri Dzul is the President, International Association of Universities.
Tan Sri Dzul is always mindful of the challenges at a critical junction for ICIFE ‘s international branding, presence and visibility. There are strong bondage of networking and fellowship among members in pursuit of intellectual discourse and development. There is a need to keep the balance among the 12 Institutional Members, 10 Country Chapters and 250 individual members of ICIFE.
In realizing Tan Sri Dzul’s novel ideas and wisdom, Dr. Haji Zulkifly Baharom, ICIFE Project Director visited the Islamic Finance & Wealth Management Institute (IFWMI) at USIM in Bandar Baru Nilai to meet its Director, Dr. Nuradli Rizwan Shah Mohd Dali and team in the 2nd week of April. It is an important milestone for ICIFE and IFWMI-USIM pursuing to engage members at large and actively exploring ways to fast forward collaboration by offering continuous education in Islamic Finance.
Evidently, Dr. Haji Zul has participated in IFWMI project in designing and execution of a training program for AKEPT known as a Balanced Leadership Modules to be roll-out as pilot in June 2016.
USIM is one of the Founding Institutional Members of ICIFE. In fact, when Tan Sri Dzul was holding the Chair of Islamic Leadership at the Faculty of Leadership and Management @ USIM; ICIFE has worked closely with Deputy Dean, Dr. Mahazan Abdul Mutalib in organizing a residential Strategic Leadership Program for 50 Students Leaders of IIUM at Institute Aminuddin Baki on 04-06 March.
