Nov 3, Kuala Lumpur – Prime Minister of Malaysia, Hon. Dato Sri Najib Tun Abdul Razak, spend time at the ICIFE booth browsing through books and research reports concerning Islamic Banking & Finance especially those undertaken by ICIFE members.
On hand to receive the Prime Minister and to brief him were senior ICIFE Council members, Prof. Dr. Mohd. Rasid Hussin and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dzuljastri Abdul Razak. The Prime Minister then signed a commemorative citation in honour of his visit to the ICIFE booth.
He was visiting the booths after declaring open the 11th WIEF 2015 earlier. He said that Malaysia will continue to play a significant role in enhancing Islamic Finance. Such efforts will be undertaken in accordance with the principles of Syariah combined with sustainable, responsible and impactful investing while broadening the appeal of Islamic Finance internationally.
WIEF 2015 is currently being held at the KLCC from Nov. 3-5, 2015.
