Operations Management From An Islamic Perspective
This subject covers briefly the full range of activities that are involved in the conversion of raw materials or resources into something that can be of value to a customer and who is willing to pay to own and make use of the product or enjoy the service given. If the raw material is intangible like knowledge and skills then the conversion process still need to be done and the output is of value to the customers who are willing to pay for getting that output and enjoy the outcome. This is different than making available a tangible product like furniture. Both are examples of managing operations; a service and a manufacturing process.
